Floating Cube Illusion Spearheads Alternative Landscape Scenery

These alluring images were created by 26 year-old French-Canadian photographer, Benoit Paille. After becoming a professional, Paille has held exhibitions in Canada, Japan, L.A, Barcelona, Moscow, Ukraine and Paris:

Paille: I was interested in the introduction of a man-made object in an outdoor setting, a luminous square, a human element that forms a relationship with nature and helps it to be reborn. From this I feel a kind of poetry blossoms, linked to the presence of this regular shape, like a recurrent canvas that symbolically references creation, the blank page, the empty space that needs to be inhabited.

Seriously? A Real Ice Truckers Pickup?

ice truck tail lights

When I first saw this truck, I thought it was part of some sort of advertising campaign or a mere work of art. No. It’s an actual working and very real ice truckers pickup, complete with engine, tyres and functioning electronics. As can be seen, the lights even work.

“How — You may ask?” Well, the truck was commissioned by a Canadian car battery manufacturer ‘Eliminator’ that desired potential customers to know how well their batteries worked in the snow. They teamed up with collaborators Iceculture, to show-off that a truck could function at -49 degrees. I shudder…

Stupidly-Expensive Carbon Fiber Sled by Snolo

Black Carbon Fiber Sled

Well, I don’t get to take my kids out much in the snow here in rainy England too much. However, I’m sure I’d be using one of these should I have, ahem, nearly $4000 to spare. Or maybe not. If you would like one of this slippery devices, you can get one here.

Carbon Fiber Sled by Snolo:

Carbon Fiber Sled by Snolo >> The Stealth-X is predominantly built of carbon fibre and comprises three main parts. The mono shell, the front ski and the front arm. MONO SHELL: The mono shell is made of carbon fibre. It is contour molded to comfortably fit your lower body and has a foam padded seat in the base with a flip up padded back rest. The laid back seating position allows both stability and comfort in steering and leaning. When not in use the back rest folds down, and shoulder straps which are attached to the rear of the sled move from their job as a lap belt to that of a backpack harness. To enhance your safety, a lanyard attaches from the sled to the rider whenever the sled is in use. READ MORE HERE.

Who Needs a Mountain - Oneil campaign

This fast-paced video is entitled Who needs a mountain, and quickly documents snowboarders jumping off bridges and jumping stairs and rails in the city. It was produced by brand O’Neill, but this isn’t in any way an endorsement of their brand—it’s just a great video to watch…

Redhead Snow Scene by Flickr user 小猫王 – or “Cats Eye View”. He states “…dedicated to Weng Keong, whose efforts in Victoriana are very commendable”. I’m unsure what the photo is really all about, but it’s great don’t you think?
