An active member of both Filter Forge and Xara communities Frances Proctor makes interesting, simple and useful tutorials about these two programs. In the series of the tutorials you are going to know how Xara’s world of vector illustration can be combined with Filter Forge as a plugin. (By the way, it can be a standalone, too.)
The first tutorial is an introduction: you’ll learn how to create a plastic type text effect and a diamond gem stone — and meanwhile some of the basics of both programs.
The next episode of Filter Forge Plus Xara series of tutorials is devoted to the editing of photos to give them an artistic new look. You’ll have a first look into the Filter Forge filter editor.
Here’s the third part of Filter Forge Plus Xara series which will uncover some secrets of portrait retouching in Xara using Xara’s new tools and a Filter Forge filter that Frances Proctor created for just this purpose.
Learn and have fun with Xara and Filter Forge.
