These “Entropic Images” are by digital artist and photographer, Jim Kazanjian. I love the way in which black and white photography is merged with other recognisable imagery, but with a surreal twist. Each image is unique, and each is named very similarly, such as “Untitled Sun” (above) and “Untitled Maze”:

This is a statement made by Jim about his stunning work:

I am interested in a kind of “entropic” image, an image that has the capacity to de-familiarize itself. My current work is an attempt to unravel the photograph and play with established notions of time, space, and the understanding of what gives things context.
